License Plate Recognition

The system for recognizing license plates is a security application enabling the surveillance of the license plates of passing vehicles using video cameras and special SW. The system increases the speed of vehicle identification, increases building security and leads to significant cost savings with respect to physical inspection of transition stations (security guards, attendants). The return on financial resources invested into system introduction is therefore very effective, thanks to the immediate savings of work and limitation of the factor of operating staff error.

Advantages and Uses

The system can work simultaneously in several locations and in real time. This is of particular value when there are multiple vehicle entrances to the monitored space. These include businesses with entrance booths for passenger cars and trucks, car parks, spaces for loading and unloading materials etc. Individual records and photos about entrances and exits of vehicles are saved in a central server (SQL database). Only the application for scanning and evaluating the license plate is run at individual transition sites (gate booths). In the central database, all records from all transition sites are available in real time and multiple users (security, dispatching) can access them simultaneously.
