Speakers

Bosch offers a large selection of speakers for public broadcast systems, in various shapes, sizes and with a variety of operating characteristics. All Bosch speakers are designed to work 100 hours at their nominal power demand, in compliance with the IEC 268-5 Power Handling Capacity (PHC) standard. Bosch has further developed a test - Simulated Acoustic Feedback Exposure (SAFE), by which it demonstrates that it can endure twice its nominal power demand for short periods of time. This guarantees extraordinary reliability under extreme conditions, which leads to greater customer satisfaction, extends useful life and decreases the probability of flaws or decrease in performance.

Wide selection by Type of Use

Box speakers
Wooden box speakers are ideal for speech and music in applications inside of buildings. Two lines are available with a nominal power demand of up to 6 W.

Tower speakers
For greater performance, tower speakers (wooden or plastic) with several electro-acoustic transformers are appropriate. These speakers are suitable for applications where it is necessary to direct a radiated sound field. For spaces with bad acoustic qualities, tower speakers with cardiod radiating characteristics are suitable; their use improves the quality of amplified sound and makes speech more understandable.

Panel speakers
A number of plastic panel speakers and accompanying installation boxes is available for installation of built-in speakers, such as in stores, schools, offices, hotels or restaurants.

Ceiling speakers
Bosch offers a number of ceiling speakers with metal or plastic cover mesh for sound systems or as individual components with a large range of nominal power demand, up to 100 W. Installation boxes, fire-resistant back covers and a wide range of modular ceiling speakers augment the selection.

Sound projectors
In applications where precise sound direction is important, the best solution is plastic sound projectors. Projectors are also available in bi-directional and hanging models and watertight versions. They offer exceptional speech comprehensibility both inside and outside of buildings. Types with cardiod radiation characteristics enable even better defined sound bundles.

Prosound box speakers
Prosound box speakers are designed to meet the ever-increasing demand for high quality of background or foreground music, while in indoor applications plastic boxes are used and in outdoor applications aluminum boxes are used.

Pressure speakers
Pressure speakers offer exceptional speech quality and sound distribution in outdoor applications. The selection includes aluminum types, modular plastic types with a choice of several electro-acoustic transformers, weather resistant speakers for applications at sea and fire-resistant types for use in explosive environments.
