IPR-10 Information Panel

The vehicle speed measurement information panel (hereinafter just called the "panel") depicts the speed of a vehicle passing by on a large-scale display.  When the speed exceeds a set value the display is able to make the speed depicted blink, which helps draw attention to this fact. The panel is also equipped with output relay, which enables the generation of a switch impulse for photo flash (simulation of acquired police record) or logging equipment.

Characteristics

An optional external data collection module serves together with support software for the function of evaluating average speed in the measured section for each minute of measurement. From data acquired in this way it is possible to ascertain how quickly people drive in a given section and specific time, which can be used for defending contemplated measures, for example. This function does not calculate the number of passing vehicles.
The panel is able to automatically adjust the brightness of the display to surrounding lighting conditions so that it does not glare. The panel can be powered by an external source, or an internal accumulator can be charged from the public light distribution system. All panel functions and behaviors can be controlled by a remote control.

Panel functions

  • Minimum speed limit - elimination of slow vehicles, cyclists etc.
  • If no vehicles are present the panel shows two vertical center segments
  • Setting of brightness so that it does not glare on traffic participants
  • Radar sensitivity - setting of distance between the vehicle and panel
  • Blinking threshold speed - when this speed is exceeded the display blinks several times
  • Relay closure threshold speed - when this speed is exceeded the unit closes the output relay
  • Relay closure time - settable length of relay impulse
  • Time setting - for setting time for the purposes of module statistics and data collection
